Eight Treasures

The Chinese recipe Eight Treasures by Shan’shi is quick to prepare. Incidentally, the number “eight” stands for wealth in China, so get to the wok!

  • 300 g chicken fillet or pork fillet
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 2 spring onions
  • 100 grams of mushrooms
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • Salt, pepper
  • 50ml Water
  • 1 tbsp corn or potato starch (optional)

  • For the Eight Treasures, wash the meat, pat dry and cut into thin strips.
  • Finely chop the garlic. Wash and thinly slice the spring onions and mushrooms. Drain Chop Suey or Asiatisches Wokgemüse in a colander and rinse with cold water.
  • Heat Erdnussöl in a wok or in a pan. Fry meat well with garlic and ginger, add spring onions and mushrooms and also fry briefly. Then stir in the Chop Suey or the Asiatisches Wokgemüse and season with teriyaki sauce and Sojasauce .
  • Season with Salt and pepper.
  • WHEN PREPARING WITH STARCH: Mix the starch in water well, add to the eight treasures and boil again briefly until a creamy sauce is formed.
  • IF PREPARING WITHOUT STARCH: Add back the meat and deglaze the vegetables with the Sojasauce
  • Sesamöl geröstet to round off the taste.
